Engage faith and finance

Raised in a home shaped by biblical financial principles and voices like Burkett, Dayton, and Ramsey, I learned early to avoid debt—a conviction reinforced by a formative lesson from my mother and later enabling me to finish seminary without borrowing while serving small congregations. In five years of church revitalization, I discovered a calling that blended strategy, finance, and discipleship, though the lack of focus in my own life and the weight of ministry pressures brought me close to burnout before a restorative and painful sabbatical. Wanting to use my strengths in teaching and finance without the unique demands of pastoral ministry, I moved into financial services, assisting a church-focused bookkeeping firm, teaching in a Christian school, and offering free financial education. Although I gained industry training and was offered a full-time role at a Christian-identified institution, I declined due to conflicts with my biblical convictions and a desire to equip people rather than do their work for them. For over sixteen years, I’ve focused on holistic education, and through founding my own coaching practice and completing Ramsey Solutions’ Master Financial Coach Training, I’ve gained the freedom to serve individuals, groups, nonprofits, and small businesses through coaching, workshops, and financial discipleship. In addition to serving executive coaching and consulting with the principles I learned the hard way.
